Job Context
- Duration:3 years.
- Reporting to: Project Manager, Urban Empowerment project
- Duty station : Tongi, Gazipur District
- Project description: BDRCS, in partnership with Swiss Red Cross is implementing `Urban Empowerment Project` at Ershadnagor in Tongi, Gazipur. Project`s overall goal is improving the resilience of slum communities through improved health and WASH, waste management, disaster preparedness and inclusion to the public services.
- Purpose: The primary purpose is to provide financial and administrative services to the project according to the organizational policy and guidelines. The position is expected to maintain and provide support in financial management, internal control & monitoring, project fund management, budgeting and documentation.
Job Responsibilities
- Carry out day-to-day accounting and financial activities of the project.
- Assist partners / field offices to maintain day-to-day financial records and book-keeping.
- Prepare monthly financial report with necessary supporting and timely submission.
- Financial management and reporting of the Project.
- Monitor all aspects of finance & accounting function of the project.
- Maintain fund monitoring records to ensure the fund availability, fund disbursement and approved expenses, within approved budgetary and contractual limits.
- Manage procurement, provide logistics support.
- Manage properties, for which project is responsible.
- Manage general administration, ensure personnel management system is in place.
- Manage effective internal communication at all levels.
- Assist annual external audit as well as internal monitoring.
- Work closely with the programme team members and BDRCS colleagues
- Keep close contact with SRC counterparts on required basis and response immediately against any queries.
- Maintain close coordination with SRC/partners/teams.
- Any other responsibilities as and when assigned by the management will be treated as a duty.

Educational Requirements
- Masters in Commerce (major in Accounting/ Finance/ Management), CA (CC) is preferred
Additional Requirements
- Minimum 3 year(s) of working experience in the relevant discipline, preferably in Red Cross/Crescent Movement or NGOs or relevant organisation.
- Knowledge and practical experiences on accounting software.
- Conversant in operating MS Word, MS Excel and other commonly used spreadsheet software.
- Good communication skill in both Bengali and English.
- Smart and self-motivated.
- Honest and high level of integrity
- Good interpersonal skill.
- Responsible, reliable and able to work as a part of the team.
- Ability to work with accuracy under pressure and meet deadlines.
