Job Context
- Based in Cox`s Bazar, the Human Resources Officer will be responsible for providing support to HR Team in the area of staff recruitment and selection; coordinating staff induction. Providing back office support in preparing job offer and employment for new hires; local staff deployment. He/she also responsible for managing the local staff deployment tracker and updating it on regular basis. He/she will work closely with the Human Resources Manager.
- Duration of the position is 1 year.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare job advertisement and job posting/publishing in the website/ newspaper.
- Ensure recruitment policies and procedures are strictly followed throughout the whole recruitment process; gender and CP aspects are carefully reviewed and auctioned during the recruitment and selection process.
- Assist in hiring staff within the stipulated time frame in a cost effective ways.
- Ensure appropriate job offer and employment contract to the selection candidates following fixation of salary as per organizational policy, in consultation with ER-HR Manager/Director-HR director and ensuring internal equity as applicable.
- Coordinate with CO HR team to ensure that all new hire staff are under appropriate insurance coverage as per organizations policy.
- Prepare and manage short term/ casual and volunteer staff recruitment process and necessary documentation.
- Establish and maintain a robust system preserving and updating the personnel file for staff hired under response programme.
- Coordinate induction for all new staff members of the response programme; all new staff members are oriented on their rights and responsibilities as per employment contract on the day of their joining.
- Prepare deployment letter for national level deployment staff as per management approval.
- Ensure performance management procedures are established for this response programme, is followed through proper monitoring & coordinating the same concerned staff and supervisor.
- Manage and update the national staff deployment tracker; as well as populate the HR and fundraising tracker.

Educational Requirements
- University degree in Human Resource Management, Public or Business Administration or another relevant field equivalent qualification.
Additional Requirements
- Fluency in English and Bangla (both reading and writing), Chittagong language.
- Good knowledge and understanding of humanitarian principles and established international child protection minimum standards.
- Must be good in creative thinking, management of space and materials, timetabling and events planning.
- Minimum 2 years working in related HR field.
- Experience to work in emergency response is added value.
- Strong team management, staff capacity building and motivation skills in teamwork and networking.
- Works with trustworthiness and integrity and has a clear commitment to Plan’s core values and humanitarian principles.
- Prior experience of working in greater Chittagong Division and knowledge of Chittagong or Rohingya is a plus.
- Ability to use the common MS Office applications (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook etc.) at intermediate level.
- Has basic awareness and sensitivity to gender and diversity.
